Are you worried about the amount of time your kid spends on the computer every night? It's quite worrying because they could end up very unhealthy by the time they start high school. This is bad for a number of different reasons and their life will be a lot more difficult if they're overweight. Some people seem to think children shouldn't walk around with smartphones, but if your kid has one it might come in very handy for something. Take a look at these fitness apps and you'll see what I mean.
Norwell Junior Fitness Park
There should be lots of local fitness parks near your home and this cool app will let you find them. If you want your kids to play around with the gym equipment you can take them to the nearest park at the weekend. The app will also teach your children how to use the equipment at the park in case you don't know how to use them either. I'm sure they will want to have some fun while using the app, so they can try to win medals in the Apple game center while they're exercising.
Spirit Runner
Spirit Runner was originally designed for Aboriginal children which you can probably tell from the name, but it's a very good app any youngster can use. The app will encourage your children to stay active throughout their youth and it can do it in a number of different ways. They can track the activities they take part in, plus they will get reminders so they don't miss a session. If they need a little motivation to keep going they'll get that too.
C-Fit Dance
C-Fit have come out with a lot of different fitness apps for kids, but today we're going to look at the dance version. Dancing is a great ways for your children to stay in shape and if you let them use the app it will teach them how to do 4 dances with each one lasting 10 minutes. The app will also help them increase their agility and coordination, plus it will train their brain because they'll have to remember lots of moves. It's an easy way to keep them entertained at home when it's raining outside.
FitnessKids
FitnessKids is for younger children and it's not too complicated. It will basically teach them how to do 25 of the most basic exercises you can think of, which is fine you don't want to teach young children anything too complicated anyway. As well as learning how to do each exercise there will be lots of music involved. They can record their achievements so they will stay motivated and if some of their friends have the same app they can challenge them to a duel.
This Is My Body
Fitness isn't just about running around when you're young. Kids need to learn about their body too, because once they're older they'll find it much easier to stay in shape. They'll know where each muscle lives and they can target specific ones when they visit the gym. This Is My Body is an amazing interactive anatomy app that will teach your child everything they need to know about about staying healthy, but it's designed to be fun so they won't fall asleep while using it.
Don't wait too long
Your child could be gaining a little weight every day, so it's much better if you don't wait too long before exposing them to fitness apps. If they can't go out and run around on their own you might not have any other option. It will be well worth it in the end when they are fitter than all their classmates.
